NOISE NOIR is the title of Romboid’s new album, which is the completion of a tetralogy, following the previous three albums (also released on the PVC label), as it stems from the same recording sessions, the same creative concept, and even the same hardware. The four volumes in total are a selection of more than 100 live recordings.

The concept of NOISE NOIR is a continuation and completion of the tetralogy, a concept of a wall of sound and a philosophy of composition, fleeing from electronic minimalism simply as a stylistic choice, seeking complex structures, polyrhythms, polymetrics in patterns and all of this performed live with modular equipment, a Moog synthesizer and Elektron Machines.

Likewise, NOISE NOIR, Black Noise, is perhaps darker, with the selection of themes having a more DARK point, mixed with somber and evocative atmospheres that are interspersed, fused, as in the entire tetralogy, with moments of glitches, noise and chaos.

Noise Noir will be released in September 2025 on Danish label PETITE VICTORY COLLECTIVE.
